K-12 Education
We are failing our children
University Industrial Complex
College is not what it used to be. Students are being pushed into a broken system that saddles them with debt, indoctrinates them with propaganda, and fails to prepare them with the skills they need to compete in the real world.
Legalize Bankruptcy
Reintroduce market reality to student loan economy. Allow student debt to be discharged in bankruptcy.
Minimum Teaching Hours
College professors must teach a minimum amount of hours per week. Limit delegation to aides.
Promote MOOCs
Promote "Massive Open Online Courses" as free alternative for students who want an education without a mountain of debt.
Limit International Slots
Wealthy international students take spots from Americans, and drive up costs. Implement caps on foreign exchange education.
Trade Schools
College isn't the right choice for everyone. Stop pressuring kids to see college as the only way. Promote sensible alternatives.
Curb Wasteful Spending
We waste astronomical amounts of money on bureaucracy in Washington DC. We could send every single state ~$1.6 Billion more for schools, and still have ~$20 billion left over to run the Department of Education.
